Caitlin is an Emmy-award winning journalist with extensive experience in open-source investigative journalism and verification as well as the ability to work in fast-paced environments and respond quickly to change.
Most recently she worked at Bloomberg LP as a Breaking News Reporter where she was responsible for keeping Bloomberg Terminal clients up to date on the latest news that moves markets. She monitored numerous social media sites in order to make fast and decisive judgment calls on breaking news stories, including M&A, IPOs, corporate earnings, government news and other global events.
Prior to that she worked as a Social Newsgathering Reporter with NBC News. Her tasks include sourcing, verifying and curating user generated content for both on-air and broadcast, securing interviews with sources on scene and writing and editing articles for nbcnews.com. While with NBC News she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Breaking News Coverage for her work on the January 6 insurrection.
She also extensively covered the COVID-19 pandemic with NBC News and researched and reported on a wide range of topics including how the pandemic affected females returning to the workforce, women struggling with infertility and individuals living in nursing homes. She also worked in the field at NBC News' 2019 and 2020 Democratic Debates in Atlanta, Georgia and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prior to NBC News, Caitlin was the producer of User Generated Content and a Digital Reporter at NBC Boston and New England Cable News. As UGC producer Caitlin was responsible for developing relationships with viewers in order to find content to produce and put to air. As the digital reporter for nbcboston.com and necn.com she reported live on breaking news stories on the NBC Boston and necn Facebook pages, as well as interviewed officials, event organizers, and sports stars. Caitlin also put together packages for both websites. Prior to working as the UGC producer and digital reporter Caitlin worked on the Assignment Desk.
Caitlin is a graduate of Boston University where she received a degree in Broadcast Journalism and minor in Political Science.
